Manchester United host Sevilla in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash, with both sides in with a chance of progression to the quarter-finals following the 0-0 draw in the first leg.

Fresh off the back of a 2-1 victory over rivals Liverpool, giving United the unquestionable edge in finishing second in the league, Mourinho’s side will fancy their chances on Tuesday night, as they look to continue their strong run of form in 2018, which includes just two defeats in 13, and advance to the quarter finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2014.

Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba remain doubtful for the second leg clash, with both players not featuring at the weekend against Liverpool. Earlier this week Michael Carrick confirmed his retirement from football at the end of the season, and United will be looking to give the midfield veteran a fitting send-off by potentially winning the competition for the second time in Carrick’s career.

It’s a big game for…

Marcus Rashford. After scoring a brace against Liverpool in his first start of 2018, Tuesday night could present Rashford with yet another opportunity to prove his worth for both club and country. If he is given a starting berth, the youngster will no doubt be looking to capitalise on his chance, and scoring in back-to-back games at Old Trafford would no doubt boost his chances for nailing down a more permanent position at United in the build-up to the World Cup in Russia.

Scott McTominay. Mourinho’s repeated selection of the now Scottish international has been telling of the faith he has McTominay, and with four Champions League appearances in the current campaign, Tuesday night could be yet another opportunity for the young midfielder to prove his worth on the biggest stage in Europe.

After his heroics at the weekend, the youngster fancies his chances with the free-kick and lets fly with an effort that nicks off the wall. The deflection has Sergio Rico all of a panic, but the keeper manages to across his goal to palm to safety.

Or a warning head, if there is such a thing. Joaquin Correa is the first to meet Banega's corner from the left, and his unmarked flick travels inches over David de Gea's crossbar. The home side cannot give away too many more opportunities like that in their own 18-yard-box and expect to go unpunished.

Both Luis Muriel and Franco Vazquez have taken aim from 25 yards and although neither attempt has troubled De Gea, they've been enough to have the home fans looking nervously amongst themselves.

The Colombian takes over and tries to drag a shot across goal - which he does - to find the far corner - which he doesn't. Goal-kick to Manchester United.

38 mins: Much better from Manchester United! When you're in need of fancy footwork, call for Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian plays a slick one-two with Alexis Sanchez on the edge of the Sevilla box and drives into the area. Forced on to his left foot, Fellaini manages to get a powerful shot away that Rico does well to turn behind for a corner.

42 mins: United are building some sort of momentum as the first half reaches its conclusion, mainly by fielding Fellaini further forward. The Belgian tries his luck from long range with a blaster that clatters into the face of Banega before Lingard tries to acrobatically swivel a volley on to the dropping ball. His misses, only to clatter Sergio Escudero in the shins.
