Chelsea drew with Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge and in doing so gave up top spot in their group to Roma, who beat Qarabag in Italy 1-0.

Saul Niguez put Atletico ahead with a header but Eden Hazard equalised with a left-footed strike in the second half.

The results meant Atletico have been eliminated from the competition and will now head into the Europa League draw.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 7.45pm at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 5 December.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 3. Coverage starts at 7.00pm. Alternatively, follow updates from our live blog above.

It’s a big game form:

Diego Simeone. Atletico Madrid are standing on the brink of elimination from the Champions League – a scenario that few would have predicted at the start of the season for the 2016 finalists. The Spaniards have been far from their best in Europe, though, with the likes of Antoine Griezmann notably struggling to deliver. Simeone needs a miracle from his men, otherwise the club will have to content themselves with Europa League football. After that, who knows what the future will hold for the Argentine who has been linked with an exit in the last few years. Could tonight’s outcome determine his future at the club? Quite possibly.

Post-match reaction from Jose Mourinho

On the result: "We played well and had a good result. We were losing at half-time but playing well. In the second half we had a strong reaction and I think the boys played professionally."

On Lukaku and Rashford scoring the goals for United: "It's good. If I could choose goalscorers I would always choose the strikers. I think Lukaku's work for the team is crazy. Luke Shaw offensively was very, very good, Romero is an amazing goalkeeper. He is only on the bench because we have David [de Gea]."

On Luke Shaw making his first start of the season: "He's been waiting for a long time. He managed to stay on for 90 minutes. I told him this isn't a test, this is just an opportunity for you to prove your level. I am happy with his performance."
