Follow live coverage as Arsenal face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League today.

Manchester City are reigning champions after a dominant 2020/21 season and Pep Guardiola's side are favourites to win it again boasting as they do one of the best squads in Europe.

European champions Chelsea have proven they have what it takes to dethrone City, however, having done it in last season's Champions League final and will be hoping to add a domestic title to the one won in Porto.

Liverpool were winners back in 2020 ending a 30-year wait for league glory and Jurgen Klopp is sure to have them back challenging again at the sharp end this season too while Manchester United will be looking to be back in the title picture with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former club in the summer.

It's not all about the action at the top though with Norwich, Watford and Brentford promoted to the top tier for 2020/21 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.

Those three points on their travels means that Brighton move up to 11th place, level on points with ninth-placed Crystal Palace. They face a tricky test away at Tottenham next time out as they look for a strong finish to the season, but the win here will give them hope of getting a good result there as they try for a top-half finish. Defeat for the hosts means that they've lost three of their last four league matches, and miss the opportunity to move into the top four. They will travel to Southampton in their next match as they look to get back on track and reignite their assault on the Champions League spots.

The referee blows the whistle, and the visitors see off the late Arsenal rally to secure the three points as they run out 2-1 victors. They took the lead on 28 minutes, when Mwepu laid the ball off to Trossard before the forward placed the ball into the top corner. The hosts thought they were level just before the break, as Martinelli headed home from a corner. However, replays showed that the Brazilian was offside as Gabriel nodded the ball back to him and the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check. The Seagulls doubled their lead on 66 minutes, when Mwepu turned from provider to scorer as he fired home a brilliant first-time effort after Caicedo found him on the edge of the box. The hosts got back into it late on, as they hit the post twice in a couple of seconds before an Odegaard shot from distance deflected off Welbeck and over Sanchez into the back of the net. Arteta's men came streaming forward as they searched for a late equaliser, and a brilliant Sanchez save and a Cucurella clearance off the line was enough as they saw the game out to collect all three points.
