- Reading to beat Fleetwood - 5/4 with bet365
- Oxford to beat Wigan - 6/5 with BetGoodwin
- Both teams to score in Port Vale vs Peterborough - 7/10 with William Hil
- Over 2.5 goals in Wycombe vs Bolton - 22/25 with Unibet
Portsmouth continue to lead the way in League One after a sixth straight win at the weekend and will expect to keep stacking up the victories when they visit Cambridge on a busy night of third tier action on Tuesday.
Oxford United are in hot pursuit of Pompey, sitting three points off the leaders in second and the latest football betting odds make the duo favourites for promotion having opened up a five-point gap to the play-off places.
At the wrong end of the table, Cheltenham got their first win of the season at the 13th time of asking against Cambridge at the weekend, leaving them within touching distance of second-bottom Reading.
The Royals have a chance to move clear of the Robins though when they host fellow strugglers Fleetwood, which is where we start our League One predictions.
Reading vs Fleetwood predictions
Reading's miserable away run continued on Saturday as they were soundly beaten 4-0 by Charlton, meaning the Royals have now gone over 300 days since they last tasted victory on the road.
The embattled Berkshire side have had a little more success at home though and appeal at 5/4 with bet365 when hosting the side one place and two points above them on Tuesday night.
Fleetwood have lost their last two games, both at home, with Lincoln leaving the Fylde coast with all three points as recently appointed head coach Lee Johnson struggles to get a reaction from his new charges.
That loss made it eight defeats from 12 games for Fleetwood this season, the same number as Reading, while the Royals have only scored one goal more than Tuesday's opponents.
But the underlying statistics, coupled with Reading's good home record of three wins from five games at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, make Ruben Selles' men a standout bet on the League One coupon.
Reading's young side sit ninth in League One on expected goals and are averaging more shots on goal per game at home than anyone else in the division.
With starlet Charlie Savage expected to be restored to the starting line-up after being benched at the weekend, there are plenty of reasons to like Reading's chances of a much-needed win.
Wigan vs Oxford United predictions
Wigan ended a run of four straight defeats with a fortuitous victory over Exeter City on Saturday but may struggle to build on that success when taking on high-flying Oxford United.
The Latics find themselves in the bottom four, thanks largely to a handful of points deductions, but have shown enough to suggest they can avoid a second successive relegation.
However, Shaun Maloney's men will need their big names available if they are to stay up and are currently without top scorer Charlie Wyke and fellow forward Callum Lang.
That spells trouble for a Wigan side that sit bottom of the table for expected goals and average the fewest shots on goal per game in League One.
Oxford have won five of their last six games with only a late Jordan Rhodes equaliser denying them a sixth straight win against Blackpool on Saturday.
The U's have won four on the bounce away from home in League One and are hopeful of having key midfielder Cameron Brannagan back on Tuesday after he missed the weekend's game through illness.
Liam Manning's men are full of confidence right now and the division's second-highest scorers carry a big threat going forward, enough to give a leaky Wigan defence all kinds of problems.
Port Vale vs Peterborough predictions
Port Vale have gone four league games without a goal but UK bookmakers believe they have a good opportunity to find the back of the net when hosting an underwhelming Peterborough side.
The Posh are unbeaten in seven, but four of those games have been draws, while boss Darren Ferguson wasn't particularly impressed with the performance of his team in the 2-2 draw with Wycombe at the weekend.
Ferguson was particularly critical of goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic and the young shot-stopper looks short on confidence ahead of this trip to face a physical Port Vale side that thrive off set pieces.
The Valiants failed to take their chances from dead ball situations in the goalless draw away to Stevenage at the weekend but may have more luck against a Peterborough side that's gone four away games without a clean sheet.
Attack has been the best form of defence for Posh, who have seen both teams to score land in four of the last six away games.
Topscorers Ben Garrity and Jonson Clarke-Harris are both going through mini-goal droughts and are perhaps due for a team that averages more shots per away game than anyone else in League One.
Having played poorly and still scored twice against Wycombe, Peterborough's attack may do some damage to a Port Vale defence that's lost its steely edge recently.
Tip: Both teams to score in Port Vale v Peterborough - 7/10 with William Hill
Wycombe vs Bolton predictions
Bolton got only their second away win of the season at Northampton last time out, recovering from a slow start to record a 2-1 success that keeps them towards the top of a congested list of play-off contenders.
Next up for the Trotters is a trip to Wycombe, who could go level on points with Bolton if they can record a fourth home win from the last five games at Adams Park.
After a sluggish start to the season, the Chairboys have picked up recently and had the better of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Peterborough.
That was Wycombe's third game in a row to feature at least three goals and the fixture with Bolton sets up as a high-scoring clash with nine of the visitors' 12 league games having passed the 2.5 goals threshold.
Bolton's Dion Charles was back on the scoresheet against Northampton, taking his tally in the league this season to eight, one behind current Golden Boot leader Davante Cole.
Wycombe are getting goals from a variety of sources and rank fifth in League One for expected goals, one place behind Bolton, and a lively encounter is expected.
