India vs Netherlands betting tips:

India are aiming to end the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup group stage with a 100 per cent record in their clash with Netherlands in Bangalore.

Rohit Sharma’s men have been outstanding, winning all eight games and have locked up top spot in the standings to face the fourth-place team in the semi-finals.

India have one last group game on their agenda, and although it makes no difference to their position in the World Cup, Sharma will want to see his side enter the knockout phase with momentum.

Netherlands’ hopes of qualifying for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 took a blow in a 160-run defeat to England

Scott Edwards’ side must beat India to have hope of securing a place in the next 50-over tournament.

Outside of their impressive win over South Africa, Netherlands have been outclassed by the leading countries and it would be a stunning turn of events for them defeat the unbeaten hosts.

India are naturally the overwhelming favourites with UK betting sites to win, but we’ll look at other facets of the game where Sharma’s men will be fine tuning ahead of the last four for our predictions.

Kohli to press case for World Cup’s Top Batter

Virat Kohli is currently third in the race to be the leading runscorer at the World Cup after falling behind Quinton de Kock and Rachin Ravindra.

He is still the leading contender in the Cricket World Cup odds to finish the tournament with the most runs to his name, and the 34-year-old has a great chance to move to the top of the chart against Netherlands if he gets time in the middle.

Kohli has been at the top of his game in the tournament, scoring two centuries and four half-centuries in eight innings, including an unbeaten ton in his side’s dominant win over South Africa.

He averages over 100 and has a healthy strike rate of 88.29. Kohli’s performances have been measured rather than destructive. He has used his experience to anchor the innings and allow his team-mates to play aggressive strokes around him.

But, the right-hander certainly has the capability to tee off against any bowling attack in the world and Netherlands have allowed their opponents ample opportunity.

Kohli will be playing on his home IPL ground, although his ODI performances have not been great, averaging only 25 in six games.

He’ll certainly want to hone his skills ahead of the last four and we’re backing him to take charge of the leading runscorer race with a score of 70 runs or more at 13/8 with bet365.

Tip: Virat Kohli to score 70 runs or more – 13/8 bet365

Opportunity knocks for Shami

Although Mohammed Shami has only played four matches at the World Cup, he is well in the race to finish as the leading wicket taker and is priced at 11/4 with new betting sites to achieve the feat.

He has claimed a team-high 16 wickets for the hosts, including a five-wicket haul against New Zealand and four strikes in India’s comfortable win over England.

Shami continued his impressive form with two strikes against South Africa. Sharma can head into the knockout phase knowing his bowling attack is firing on all cylinders.

There’s no let up for opposing batters as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have been on point with the new ball before Shami and the spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja take over.

Shami has been the bowler that has been that bit more clinical than the rest. He has a good record in Bangalore and will be relishing the prospect of getting stuck into a Netherlands line-up that may have one eye on going home.

With our second India vs Netherlands prediction, we’re backing him to be his side’s top bowler at 9/4 with Betway

Tip: Mohammed Shami to be India’s top bowler – 9/4 Betway

De Leede to bow out with more wickets

Bas de Leede’s performances during qualifying were one of the key factors in Netherlands reaching the tournament and he’s certainly done his reputation no harm in India.

The 23-year-old has been his side’s standout player and has taken 14 wickets in eight matches.

Although he conceded 74 runs against England, De Leede still notched three strikes, including the scalp of Harry Brook.

He has shown consistency throughout the tournament, only failing to take wickets in one match where he bowled.

The Durham all-rounder was extremely impressive in his side’s opener with figures of four for 62 against Pakistan, but he will be pressed hard to repeat the feat facing the hosts.

Despite the talent of the India batting line-up, De Leede is a player that makes things happen on the pitch. So, with our final India vs Netherlands tip, we’re backing him to take at least one wicket at 8/13 with Unibet

Tip: Bas de Leede to take one wicket or more – 8/13 Unibet
