Turtles, with the Maldive islands banning the catching, sale, importation and exportation of turtle products for the next 10 years. Eating turtle meat is already banned in the Maldives under Islamic law.

A bad day for:

Sloppy journalists. A Chinese cosmetics company offered prizes of 100 yuan (pounds 75) for anyone spotting a typographical or literary error in yesterday's editions of the Wen Hui, the Liberation Daily, the Xinmin Evening News or the magazine Pay Attention to Words.
