Letter: High praise for a jolly Norwegian
Sir: I was very surprised to read an enormous mistake on your front page today. Roald Amundsen did not die in Antarctica. He vanished with his plane and companions in the North Sea. They had departed from Caudebec-en-Caux (between Rouen and Le Havre) to search for the Italian Umberto Nobile, who was lost in the Arctic. You can still see in Caudebec a monument for them all.
