Letter: Coach services are not under threat
YOUR PIECE on the withdrawal of certain National Express services ("Passengers left stranded as axe falls on coach routes", 22 November) gives the impression that the route changes referred to are part of a programme of cutbacks. They are not. They are merely the result of the routine review of our timetable which takes place every spring and autumn to reflect seasonal customer demand. Overall we are operating the same number of cross-country journeys as last winter.
You state that services between London and Cumbria, London and North Wales and Norwich and Cambridge are under threat. I would like to reassure your readers that this is not true.
