Fire ravages Red Cross warehouse after Odesa missile strike

A Russian missile has destroyed a Ukrainian Red Cross warehouse in Odesa, said to contain thousands of tonnes of food and aid.

Officials in the city have published footage of the building engulfed in flames after it was struck by a Kh-22 missile fired from the Black Sea on Monday (8 May).

“The Ukrainian Red Cross warehouse with humanitarian aid in Odesa has been destroyed and a mobile hospital in Mykolaiv damaged due to a missile strike,” the Ukrainian Red Cross account tweeted.

“The staff and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross were not injured.”
