Liz Truss denies rumours she ‘snubbed’ Nicola Sturgeon as prime minister
Liz Truss has denied rumours that she “snubbed” Nicola Sturgeon when she was prime minister.
During an appearance on GB News, presenter Dan Wooton told the former Conservative leader that she was “accused of snubbing”, to which Ms Truss responded: “I met her during the Queen’s mourning... and we had a series of events.”
Her comment comes after Scotland’s former first minister was arrested on Sunday (11 June) as part of an investigation into the SNP’s finances.
Ms Sturgeon was later released without charge, pending further inquiries, after voluntarily going to a police station.
