Mount Etna eruption sends plumes of smoke into sky
Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, erupted again on Tuesday (21 September) sending a plume of ash and smoke into the sky.
According to the volcano monitoring website Volcano Discovery, the steam of smoke from the crater reached up to 9,000 meters in height.
In the above video, you can see some social media content captured from the ground which shows the scale of the eruption. This was the first time the Sicilian volcano had erupted after a hiatus of three weeks.
