Moment lorry drives through descending railway barrier

This lorry driver ploughs through a railway level crossing safety barrier as it descends in County Mayo, Ireland causing several delays.

The video, which was released by the Irish Railway, shows a lorry racing through a descending barrier before smashing through another fully closed one at a level crossing.

You can see in the video the first barrier is already descending when the lorry hits it, and the second barrier on the far side is almost entirely closed.

According to a Tweet by Irish Rail, the incident caused delays in the area, and a crew was sent to repair the damage.
