Officials use WD40 and cola to separate protesters disrupting coronation race evening

Officials used WD40 and a bottle of cola to separate activists from Animal Rising who glued themselves together to disrupt a coronation race evening at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday (6 May).

The group said that members climbed over fences around the track before entering the course itself.

Campaigners ran onto the racecourse in an attempt to stop the final race in a royal-themed event from going ahead.

It comes after the group tried to disrupt the Grand National last month.

The Independent has contacted South Yorkshire Police for comment.
