‘Britain’s loneliest dog’ still looking for a forever home after 500 days in kennels

A dog at a kennels in Somerset has been looking for a forever home for 500 days.

Charlie, a crossbreed, came to RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre in Somerset in September 2021 after being abused by his previous owner.

The nine-year-old, who the rescue centre describes as a “cracking dog” and “very playful”, is looking for loving and patient owners to snuggle up on the sofa with.

Andy Cook, behaviour and welfare advisor at RSPCA North Somerset Branch, said Charlie is a “special lad” and the team’s “favorite pup” who joins them every morning for a tea break.
