MTV Movie and TV Awards: Pedro Pascal and Jennifer Coolidge show solidarity with striking writers

As stars took to the virtual stage for MTV's pre-recorded Movie and TV Awards 2023, many took the opportunity to pay tribute to those involved in the ongoing writers' strike.

The likes of Jennifer Coolidge and Pedro Pascal both showed solidarity with the Writers Guild of America (WGA) in their speeches, which has seen 11,500 workers walk out over conditions.

“Being a writer is a hard job. It deserves respect", Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn chimed in upon winning the Breakthrough Performance award.

“If we respect each other, we can cultivate a kinder, more inclusive, more collaborative environment for everyone… that’d be nice.”
