‘Huge honour’ to see Ukrainian flags in Liverpool for Eurovision, says Mae Muller

It is a “huge honour” to see the streets of Liverpool adorned with Ukrainian flags, the UK’s Eurovision entrant Mae Muller has said ahead of tonight’s grand final (13 May).

The UK is hosting the song contest on behalf of Ukraine, whose act Kalush Orchestra won last year in Turin but cannot host due to the ongoing war with Russia.

“I think this is what Eurovision’s about. It’s proof that us, as human beings, can come together and we can support each other,” the “I Wrote a Song” singer said.
