Beverley Callard makes shock exit from Don’t Look Down after injury
Actress Beverley Callard was forced to leave the Austrian training camp after she was injured while learning to high-wire walk in Channel 4’s Don’t Look Down.
The celebrities have been working hard training to compete in their world-first high wire relay walk 100ft over the London Stadium, all in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Callard, 66, sustained a kidney injury, forcing her to pull out of training.
Revealing the news to her teammates, she said: “I’m going to try not to cry. At some point, I damaged my kidney and I’ve seen a doctor and I can’t wear a harness, I can’t do any sport at the moment and I’ve got to go.”
