Three people rescued from flash flooding in Arizona as car submerged in water

Three people have been rescued from flash flooding in Arizona after their car had been partially submerged in the fast-moving waters.

Rescue crews attended the scene and were able to extract the three people from their vehicle.

Monsoon rains have recently ravaged the region, with up to 7.6 centimetres of rain falling in the Santa Catalina Mountains, and around 2.5 centimetres of rainwater falling in just half an hour in Graham County. Multiple flash flood warnings have recently been issued in Arizona as a result of the heavy downpours.
