As we draw a line under a problematic summer for travel, The Independent’s expert travel team are preparing to answer your winter holiday questions.

Join our travel editor Helen Coffey in conversation with our travel correspondent Simon Calder and deputy travel editor Ben Parker during the latest in our virtual event series being held on Wednesday 25 October.

From the most atmospheric Christmas markets to visit during the festive season, best-value ski destinations and top city breaks packed with culture, the trio will make sure you head into the winter holiday season well-informed.

They will also tackle questions on how to best avoid being caught up in any further travel chaos, following large-scale disruption at airports this summer, courtesy of air traffic control meltdowns and mass flight cancellations from leading airlines and industrial action.

However, no travel questions are off the cards - you can ask the team anything from how to get the best deals on flights and where to find winter sun to what makes a great last-minute deal.

Don’t forget to submit your questions to Simon, Helen and Ben when you sign up for free.

You can also leave your questions in the comments section of this story.

The event will take place on Zoom at 6.30pm and last an hour. To find out more and sign up for free, click here.
