Does your perfect evening involve playing Pacman with a cold one in your hand? Do you long for the arcade game machines of decades gone by? Are you currently in Western Australia? If you answered yes to all of these, we've found the perfect bar for you.

A vintage arcade game bar aimed at nostalgia-filled adults opens this weekend in Perth, Australia.

The Palace Arcade bar will house around 150 rotating retro arcade games from the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Around 50 will be on one floor at any one time, and they’ll cost between A$1-2 per game (55p-£1.10).

The arcade games are understood to include classics such as Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Terminator 2 and Donkey Kong.

Alongside the arcade games are cocktails, craft beer, a whisky collection and New York-style pizza from Mack Daddy’s, a local firm. Because all that playing Mortal Kombat makes thirsty work, after all.

Australian news site news.com.au reports that Palace Arcade was dreamt up by bar owner Saran Bajaj, who has been collecting the vintage games for about 15 years.

“It was always a passion of his,” Palace Arcade spokesperson Gaurav Bajaj told the news site.

“He always loved the artwork, the integrity of the games, the programming.

“It used to occupy our houses, he used to fill rooms, repair them himself, and I remember one night, we were just sitting around drinking beers, eating pizza, playing games, and we thought it was a good business idea.”

Palace Arcade opens on Beaufort Street in Northbridge, Perth, on Saturday 1 September. For more information, see Palace Arcade's Facebook page.
