Every week we invite competing companies to give us their best deal for a specific holiday. Today: a one-week holiday in Sicily in early April. Prices are per person, based on two travelling together on 9 April.

SoloSicily

£448: Palermo

Includes one week's rental of Tanguera, a chic villa with outdoor sunken bath, close to the seaside resort of Mondello. Flights are not included. "This is a great option for anyone who wants to combine a beach break with visiting Palermo's great food markets, churches and palaces," says Gioacchino Sortino at soloSicily (020-7193 0158; solosicily.com).

Think Sicily

£830: Menfi

Includes one week's rental of Cinnamon, a two-bedroom villa and Think Sicily's around-the-clock, on-the-ground local support and concierge service; flights are not included. "The sea views and direct access to a deserted sandy beach make Cinnamon the perfect spot for a spring getaway. Guests may arrive and depart on any day of the week to take advantage of cheaper mid-week air fares," says Huw Beaugie at Think Sicily (020-7377 8518; ThinkSicily.com).

Long Travel

£748: Taormina

Includes flights from Stansted, car hire and a week's accommodation with breakfast at Donna Carmela, near Taormina. "This small hotel is ideally placed for touring the wonders of Sicily and is a perfect choice for a weekend break or a long summer holiday. Its spectacular backdrop is the towering Mount Etna, the sparkling Ionian Sea and the biggest plant nursery of its type in Europe, with sub-tropical and Mediterranean plants and trees," says Annie Long of Long Travel (01694 722193; long-travel.co.uk).
