A hotel in Finland is searching for a 'professional sleeper', to test out its rooms.
Helsinki's Hotel Finn is on the lookout for the services of a 'dynamic person' to put each of its 35 rooms through 40 winks of paces, and write about their daily experiences.
Unfortunately, acute laziness isn't the only qualification they're looking for. In fact, the successful applicant will be required to speak fluent English and Finnish, with Russian considered an additional bonus. Aside from that, it's a doddle.
“In the near future we will accommodate a person to live 35 days in 35 different rooms in the heart of Helsinki at Hotel Finn,” a blog posting on the hotel's website says.
“This person will share his thoughts, adventures and experiences of living in the best spot of summery Helsinki. So, prepare yourself for a blog journey that you’ve never read before.”
This isn't the first time the travel industry has come up with an ingenious way of getting noticed. In 2009, Australia advertised 'the best job' ever: being paid to be caretaker of an island on the Great Barrier Reef, while in January holiday company First Choice saught a slide tester, to check out the quality of its water parks.
The professional sleeper's job begins on 17 May, with applications closing at the end of April
