THE Manchester Ship Canal is celebrating its centenary this summer, and four weeks from today you can cruise the length of it aboard a Mersey ferry. On 20 and 21 August and 4 September, Merseytravel (051-630 1030) is operating special trips along the 35-mile waterway, price pounds 15.
