Samsung Galaxy S20 could take multiple photos at once with 'Quick Take' camera feature

New smartphone expected to be released alongside foldable Galaxy Z device

Samsung will soon be unveiling its new flagship smartphone – expected to be called the Galaxy S20 – and the latest rumour suggests it will come with an unrivalled camera feature.

The multiple lenses on the rear of the device will be able to take multiple photos at the same time thanks to a "Quick Take" function, according to prolific leaker Max Weinbach.

It means users will be able to choose between an ultra-wide, a zoomed-in or regular image when they take a picture.

Previous leaks have hinted that the main camera will come with a huge 108-megapixel image sensor, though the Quick Take feature may only be available on the higher-end Galaxy S20 Ultra version of the smartphone.

Other rumours suggest the Galaxy S20 range will come with top-end Snapdragon 865 processors and an Infinity-O display.

A comprehensive leak last month revealed nearly every spec of the Galaxy S20 range of phones, including an impressive 16GB of RAM on the top tier Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.

Full details of the new phones are expected to be unveiled at Samsung's Unpacked event on 11 February.

The San Francisco event could also see the debut of Samsung's new folding flip phone, which has also been the subject of numerous leaks in recent weeks.

The Galaxy Z Flip is the South Korean firm's latest attempt at establishing a foothold in the nascent foldable smartphone market, which began inauspiciously in 2019 with the ill-fated Galaxy Fold.

Unlike the Samsung's first foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip ditches the horizontal mechanism in favour of a vertical-folding design similar to the recently announced Motorola Razr.

The insides are not expected to be as high-spec as the Galaxy S20, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Its compact design could prove popular with consumers fed up with the ballooning size of smartphones and Samsung claims it could "change the way you use your phone".

Samsung does not comment on unannounced devices but an official teaser video gave some indication of the what the phone will be like and included the tag line "Change the shape of the future".
