The pre-order buzz around Rift is enough to make it the week's best-seller on Steam and Direct2Drive, with Dragon Age II not far behind; urban planning sim Cities in Motion is in first at GamersGate and second on Impulse.

Both Magicka and the Fallout: New Vegas expansion Dead Money do well, rising to Steam's third and fourth positions respectively. That reflects very well on player enthusiasm, given both games' stability issues and their status as the cheapest products on a revenue-based chart.

Classic favorite Psychonauts nips into first place on Good Old Games thanks to a mid-week promo, and there's enough interest around the highly detailed flight sim AC-10 Warthog to see it into fifth place on Direct2Drive.
