This week Flavio Briatore, the former Renault team principal, was banned for life from Formula One by the Motor Sport Council for his involvement in a race-fixing scandal. The flamboyant Italian millionaire, known for a string of glamourous girlfriends and an extravagent lifestyle, is also a co-owner of QPR. However his expulsion from F1 also calls into question his involvement with QPR, as it means he may fail the Football League’s rules that no director or owner of a club can be "the subject of a band from a sports governing body relating to the administration of that sport."
