Steffi Graf, who is retiring from one of the strongest tennis careers in the history of the sport, will face South African Amanda Coetzer in three matches in December, a news agency reported Wednesday.

The tournament is part of Graf's farewell world tour.

"Steffi and I are probably the most competitive women tennis players in the world," Coetzer was quoted as saying in an interview with the South African Press Association. "This is a serious challenge ... and I can promise it will be both entertaining and competitive."

The matches will take place 7 December in Durban, 10 December in Stellenbosch and 12 December in Johannesburg.
