Davenport overpowers Dokic
Lindsay Davenport won through to the Wimbledon quarter-finals with a 7-5 6-4 victory over Yugoslav 18-year-old Jelena Dokic.
The 1999 Wimbledon champion subdued Dokic with her strong serve and thundering forehand.
Dokic rarely moved from the baseline but Davenport looked slow, with her knee still strapped after the injury that has dogged her for months.
