Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Staffordshire team will be pulling against fellow English club, BAC Weybridge, and entries from Scotland, Wales and two Channel Island teams, who exhibit strong local rivalry, though Guernsey have edged ahead of Jersey in indoor pulling.
How to get there: Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, Amherst, St Peter Port, Guernsey. UK Indoor Championship (tomorrow): 8am-9am weigh-in; 10.40am opening ceremony; 11am 600kg division; 2pm 680kg. Guernsey Open Championship (Sunday): 7.30am-9am weigh-in; 11am 680kg division, followed by 600kg, 560kg (women) and 640kg. (Tel: 0481-728555).
