Duncan Hall has resigned as Worcester coach after 15 months in the job. He is to return to Australia.

Scott Aitken will take over from Robbie Brown as Melrose's captain this season. The club have also been boosted by the return of Kevin Allan, Callum McRae and Will Laurie to the squad under the charge of new coach, Gary Parker, who will face his former club Gala on the opening day of the season.

New Caerphilly centre David Hawkins will captain Wales' Under-21 team against South Africa in the opening match of the Eight Nations' Tournament in Buenos Aires on Saturday. The Welsh will also face Australia and England in their group matches.
