SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL have announced a pounds 10,000 sponsorship of the All England Women's Hockey Association Centenary celebrations, which will be held in Sheffield from 13 to 14 May next year. England will play Germany, a repeat of the last European Cup Final, on the Saturday at the Concord Sports Centre.

The National Hockey Foundation announced yesterday that work on the the Milton Keynes Stadium started this week with the pounds 9m project due to be completed by November 1995.
