THE Atlanta Braves, the 1991 World Series runners-up, have clinched their second successive National League West title, the first team to achieve such a feat since the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1977-78. The Braves now meet the National League East champions, the Pittsburgh Pirates, in a repeat of last season's National League Championship play-off, which was won by Atlanta in seven games.
