In a late switch of skipper, John Horn, who runs a sailing school in Warsash, took over one of the two English team boats in the Teacher's Round Britain Challenge, which started from Southend on Sunday. Horn replaces Vivien Cherry, who was not fit.

Atlanta Olympic officials said at the week-end that they intended to make major changes to the Olympic yachting venue in Savannah, which is more than two hours from the main Olympic arena, and other venues are also likely to be upgraded.
