From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Ben Youngs has been ruled out of Saturday's QBE International against Argentina with a hip injury and will be replaced in the matchday squad by Danny Care.

Leicester scrum-half Youngs had been named among the replacements for the Twickenham encounter but has failed to recover sufficiently from the niggling complaint.

Youngs' misfortune opens the door for Harlequins scrum-half Care, who has fallen behind both Youngs and Lee Dickson in the England pecking order but impressed on club duty last weekend as he inspired Quins to a surprise 23-16 win at Leicester.

"Ben is still suffering some discomfort in his hip area and is unable to run at full pace," England head coach Stuart Lancaster said.

"He is making good progress and should be fit for consideration next week.

"We are fortunate that we can call on Danny who has been playing well for Harlequins and training hard with us."
