From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

ITV have secured the rights to show the highlights of all England's games at Twickenham from the start of next season.

The sub-licensing deal, completed in conjunction with the Rugby Football Union and Sky Television, means that extended highlights will be shown on the terrestrial channel after live broadcasts on Sky.

Last year, the satellite station secured rights to England's home internationals for five years in a deal that nearly brought an end to the Five Nations' Championship.

Ireland, Scotland and Wales were upset at the RFU's decision to sell off the rights to England's matches, but later agreed another deal with the BBC which will broadcast their Five Nations' home games.

Sky will also show England's game against Australia in Sydney next Saturday.

Mark Regan last night confirmed that he will play for Bath next season after agreeing a five-year contract. The 25-year-old hooker follows fellow Lion Simon Shaw out of Bristol, who only avoided relegation last season in the play-offs. Shaw recently joined champions Wasps.

Regan, who has won 12 England caps since making his Test debut against South Africa in 1995, is believed to have signed a six-figure deal.
