Racing: Hyperion's TV tips
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

2.40: CITY GAMBLER has a decent chance here, having run really well when a somewhat unlucky second on her first attempt at this trip at Leicester last time. She is now 3lb lower, with the distinct prospect of better to come. Byzantium may well improve now he tries this longer trip and this son of Shirley Heights may well be the main danger.
3.10:. Halloa will have her supporters after her good third in the Sweet Solera at Newmarket, as will well-regarded maiden winner Circle Of Gold, but both may succumb to HASTY WORDS. She showed good acceleration at Sandown and may not have been quite at her best at Newmarket afterwards.
3.40: Praetorian Gold, an easy winner here in June, cannot be passed over lightly, but ROGER ROSS is the one who stands out. Mark Flower has done really well with this colt at a mile, and there is little doubt that he will prove at least as good over this extra furlong. His second of 18 last time reads well enough as it is, added to which he did not get much luck in running.
