Pink Gin bad for Jodami
Jodami's odds for the Gold Cup at Cheltenham in March drifted from 12-1 to 14-1 with the Tote yesterday after a laboured victory at Kelso.
Starting at 2-9 yesterday, Jodami beat Pink Gin, a 25-1 shot who was 37lb out of the handicap, by just three-parts of a length. "He was just idling at the finish of the race," Jodami's trainer, Peter Beaumont, said. "He jumped well and that was just what we wanted."
