READING RECLAIMED the EHA Cup, presented by the Hockey Writers' Club, yesterday when they beat the holders Cannock in a penalty shoot- out after a 4-4 draw.

It meant sweet revenge for Reading for their defeat last Monday when Cannock took the National League title, also in a shoot-out after a 3- 3 draw. Both teams take their places in Europe for next season - Cannock in the senior Club Championship and Reading in the Cup Winners Cup.

England women maintained their impressive form in the Four Nations Tournament in Dublin yesterday when they beat Ireland 3-1 in their final game to maintain their maximum points.

Tina Cullen, with two goals in the opening 14 minutes, set England on their way and, although Aslene Thompson pulled a goal back for the host nation, Sarah Blanks restored England's two-goal margin midway through the second half.
