reports from Brussels

Belgium 0 Great Britain 1

Great Britain completed a useful double over Belgium here yesterday at the start of their build-up to next month's Olympic qualifier in Barcelona.

Compared to Saturday's impressive performance 3-1 win, however, this was a drab, scrappy affair, played in freezing fog.

After a first half in which the Belgians called the shots, Britain reshuffled their line-up and Jason Laslett came on to score the winner, set up by Danny Hall, following a lucky deflection, Britain's captain skilfully chipping the ball over the goalkeeper from close quarters.
