The Chinese men's team yesterday won the title for the second successive time at the World Championships in Sabae, Japan. The Chinese team, who started their optionals 0.012 points behind the leaders, Japan, seized a comfortable 1.862pt lead after their first apparatus, the pommel horse. They ended up with a huge 3.173pt advantage over Japan following their last floor exercise. Japan took the silver for the first time since 1981 while Romania took the bronze with 561.947pts.
