Glamorgan's promising young batsman David Hemp suffered a serious chest injury after colliding with a team-mate when he went for a catch in the Benson and Hedges Cup game against British Universities at Fenner's.

The 25-year-old collided with Hugh Morris as he tried to catch Gul Khan. He was detained in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He has two broken ribs and tests are being carried out on possible lung damage.
