Surely Charlie Adam is a shoo-in for the top prize at the PFA awards dinner tonight? Just don't let him near the buffet or free bar, Blackpool have got an important game with Newcastle coming up! At Wembley, an FA Cup semi-final to get the pulse stopping, Stoke v Bolton. At the Emirates, Jens Lehmann (65) dusts down the zimmer for the visit of Liverpool.

Tomorrow

Hull rugby league coach Richard Agar is up before the beak for breaching the game's Respect policy. Agar said referee James Child was "100 per cent" the reason why Hull lost 20-18 at home to Castleford. "It's been a good spectacle completely ruined by one bloke," he added. "We'll get a sheet round telling us all his decisions have been the right ones, I guarantee you that," Agar went on. Can't see what the problem is...

Champions elect Manchester United go to Newcastle.

Wednesday

Sky's 20th birthday. They've shown more than half a million hours of sport since 1991, and celebrate tonight by hosting Arsenal's game in hand – a tricky trip to White Hart Lane. In cricket, Somerset have an equally daunting trip to Liverpool to face my tip for the title, Lancashire. And feel the electricity as the World Snooker Championship builds towards a crescendo at The Crucible. Just 12 days to go now...

Unlike the Old Firm, it's just the second Old Farm clash of the season as the Tractor Boys (Ipswich) host Norwich.

Friday

Good Friday, another traditional footballing occasion (like 3pm on a Saturday) that has fallen by the wayside. Nottm Forest v Leicester or Leeds v Reading is as good as it gets. At least rugby league respects us sporting romantics – Wigan-St Helens and Hull-Hull KR are playing each other, as usual at this time of year.
