Simon Organ and Martin Jones each netted six as Cannock just failed to beat their own Cup record – 23-0 against Pelicans two seasons ago.
On Saturday, Reading took over leadership of the Premier Division of the National League with a 3-0 win at Doncaster, the New Zealander Ken Robinson scoring twice. Yesterday they beat Oxford Hawks 13-0, Robinson scoring five, while two younger players also figured, Andy Watts with a hat-trick and Richard Mantell with a brace.
James Webber, who scored the only goal for Teddington in their 1-0 win over Guildford – who were opening their new waterbased pitch on Saturday – was again in good form yesterday scoring four times as Teddington thrashed Robinsons 12-0. Spencer's Adam Laird scored five times as his team joined the double figure sides with a 11-2 victory away at West Gloucester.
In a rearranged Women's National League game at Bisham Abbey Hightown – without their international goalkeeper Carolyn Reid – were no match for Slough, who followed up Saturday's 3-2 win against the League leaders Olton with a 10-1 win yesterday to take over top spot. England's principal goal scorer, Jane Smith, netted four.
