Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce said she was “shocked and excited” after being chosen as world athlete of the year, alongside her Jamaican compatriot Usain Bolt.
Fraser-Pryce won the three sprint golds at the World Championships and ran the year’s fastest 200m, while Bolt won the men’s award for the fifth time.
