Manchester United have announced Dutch midfielder Jackie Groenen has signed a pre-contract agreement to join their women's team for next season.

The 24-year-old has been with FFC Frankfurt in Germany since leaving Chelsea in 2015 after just over a year with the Blues.

Groenen helped Holland win Euro 2017 and is part of their squad for this summer's World Cup in France.

She is set to become the first overseas signing for Casey Stoney's United, who won the Women's Championship and gained promotion to the Women's Super League in their inaugural season last term.
