On Friday, Manchester United's manager Louis van Gaal admitted that he will have torn up the squad he inherited by the time the transfer window closes on Monday.
United are now looking to sign 16-year-old Timothy Fosu Mensah from Ajax, while getting rid of Shinji Kagawa and Tom Cleverley. The former looks set to move back to his old club Borussia Dortmund while Cleverley has received interest from Valencia as well as Aston Villa.
Tottenham are still pursuing United's Danny Welbeck, this time looking for a loan deal.
