Bolton Wanderers has confirmed the double signing of defender Zat Knight from Aston Villa and left-back Sam Ricketts from Hull City. "I am sure that they will fit i to the squad," said the Trotters manager, Gary Megson. Meanwhile, Bolton are close signing the the South Korean International Lee Chung-yong from FC Seoul for £2.1, "The contract will be signed officially after a work permit is issued," a statement from the K-League side said.

Boro accept Mido offer

Middlesbrough have accepted an offer for the Egyptian striker Mido from an unnamed club. The Boro manager Gareth Southgate admitted this week that he accepts the 26-year-old will leave the club before the season starts. Reports in Egypt have suggested that that offer has come from Mido's old side Zamalek.
