Manchester United could be considering a shock offer of forward Dimitar Berbatov as a makeweight in a bid to lure Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero. United are rumoured to have offered £34m and winger Nani but the Spanish side fancy the £30.75m Bulgarian and £17.1m in cash, according to the Spanish daily AS.

Rangers monitor Trezeguet

Rangers have lodged an enquiry for Juventus' World Cup-winning striker David Trezeguet. However, the Frenchman's agent, Antonio Caliendo, has played down the reports linking his client with a move to Ibrox. "Only certain offers can be evaluated." Caliendo said.
