Tottenham Hotspur are making a strong move for Barcelona forward Sandro Ramirez, according to reports in Spain.

Diario Sport state that the Barca youth product, who can play up front or on either wing, is Mauricio Pochettino's top target in January as he seeks cover for Harry Kane.

According to the report, Spurs have already spoken to the 20-year-old and offered a four-and-a-half year deal to join the north London club, although it is unclear if Barcelona will want to sell.

Tottenham are not willing to include any buy-back clause in the deal, something that could be a sticking point for Barcelona. The north Londoners are expected to make a bid of around €12million (£8.85m) for a player who has been a regular in Luis Enrique's squad this season.

What to expect from Tottenham this transfer window

Sandro, who has been capped at every level from Under-17 to U21 with Spain, has three goals and two assists in 16 appearances in all competitions this season.

He made his Barcelona debut in August 2014, coming on to score the winning goal in a 1-0 win at Villarreal.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are, of course, entrenched as Barcelona's first-choice front three, but Sandro and Munir El-Haddadi are seen as the next options for Enrique.

The report also states that Tottenham's north London rivals Arsenal are interested in youth product Sergi Samper.
