Tottenham Hotspur are looking to build on the spectacular £55m signing of Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele by singing Roma wonderkid Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Italians are keen to sign a centre-back after selling Kostas Manolas to Napoli and Spurs are ready to bid £16m plus Toby Alderweireld for the 20-year-old.

Alderweireld has a £25m release clause in his contract and bitter rivals Arsenal are considering swooping in for the Belgian defender, according to The Daily Star.

Juventus are also keen on Zaniolo, but Roma would prefer to sell abroad given their hostility between the clubs.

Zaniolo would be Spurs’ third midfield signing of the window after the club completed a deal for Leeds United’s Jack Clarke.

However, the talented 18-year-old will rejoin Leeds on loan next season to continue his development.

Spain U21 international Dani Olmo has also emerged as a target for Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Olmo currently plays in Croatia with Dynamo Zagreb and would cost £22m, according to Mucho Deporte.

Olmo is also being targeted by Manchester United, however, Spurs reportedly already have an agreement with the player’s agent.

Spurs are also pushing for Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos after his stunning European Under-21 Championships to inspire Spain to victory.

The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, according to Marca.

The Daily Mail report that Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso and Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon are also targets.

Argentine Lo Celso could cost up to £70m whilst Sessegnon, who Spurs value at around £30m, could swap west for north London in a deal which could include his twin brother Steven.

The Mail has also reported that the club are continuing to keep tabs on Norwich’s Max Aarons.

Spurs are also ready to challenge Manchester City for Bournemouth’s centre-half Nathan Ake, according to L’Equipe.

The champions are keen on the Dutch international but Spurs could join the chase too. The Cherries want upwards of £40m for the former Chelsea man.

Real Madrid target Christian Eriksen continues to represent an issue for Spurs, with the La Liga side hoping to secure a cut-price deal for the Dane with one year left on his contract.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had previously put a £150m price tag on the midfielder’s head but Madrid are hoping to seal a deal worth around £65m according to reports from Spain.
